Overview
D’Alzon Girls Secondary School, located in Mlangarini Ward within the Arusha City Council, is a prestigious institution dedicated to the education of girls. Founded in 2008, the school is operated by the Oblate Sisters of the Assumption, reflecting their long-standing commitment to promoting literacy and quality education.   Â
Founding and Mission
The school is named after Fr. Emmanuel d’Alzon, the founding father of the Oblate Sisters of the Assumption, who emphasized the importance of education. Established with a missionary, ecumenical, and charitable intent,Â
the congregation aims to promote the Kingdom of Christ and serve the community through education, health, and social initiatives. The Oblate Sisters focus on evangelization, dialogue among Christians, and service to the impoverished.
 Establishment
D’Alzon Girls Secondary School was officially registered with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology on March 31, 2008, under registration number S.4466. It later became affiliated with the National Examination Council of Tanzania, receiving examination center number S.4466. This formal recognition marked the beginning of a journey dedicated to empowering young women through education.

Today, the school enrolls approximately 290 students and has produced numerous graduates since its establishment. Â

D’Alzon Girls Secondary School is managed by a board of directors comprised of the Oblate Sisters of the Assumption, with assistance from the head of the school. This leadership ensures that the school remains aligned with its founding principles while meeting the educational needs of its students.
